Letters bound for GNS in Victoria were picked up from students at Hidden Valley Elementary, Bernice Mathews Elementary, and Hunsberger Elementary in Reno, Hillside Elementary in Sparks, and Laguna Blanca School from Santa Barbara.

Estimated delivery time: November 12th - weather permitting -

Well, the weather permitted - barely! After dropping off letters at Sir James Douglas School in Victoria, Dani rode Breezy through suburbia to GNS. My job was to drive truck and horse trailer close by people didn't drive off the road when they saw a horse strolling down the sidewalk! Poor Dani got absolutely soaked in a fairly wicked deluge that started while she was waiting outside for me at SJD and lasted for the duration of her ride through Fairfield!

Breezy was not impressed at all with the lake-like puddles and the deluge that washed every last bit of dirt up out of her coat and made her look like a zebra with black stripes splashed over her white hair! What a mess!

However - the GNS students did bravely come outside and, sheltered under an overhang, greeted us warmly.

The sun even came out long enough for us to deliver letters from Nevada.

After her hard day's work, Breezy enjoyed a lovely bran mash back at the barn.

Letters picked-up on May 3, 2002
